Arquimaña

Arquimaña is Iñaki Albistur and Raquel Ares, an architecture studio that has its own digital manufacturing workshop since 2010, being pioneers in the Basque Country in this field.

Since we came into contact with digital manufacturing, we understood that incorporating it into our studio gave us the ability to go one step further in the design process, making our way of projecting imply, at all times, the possibility of self-production, giving us a control of the entire design process, from the first ideas through the prototyping phase to the final product.

We can say that this new way of doing, has caused professionals from all fields of design to come into contact with digital manufacturing and its tools, giving rise to what, in some texts, is called digital craftsmanship, a philosophy with which we identify ourselves and we show in all our works.

Thus, we recover the traditional idea of an urban workshop linked to the use of technology of the 21st century.

Our work processes allow us to produce most of our projects in a local and sustainable way, since digital manufacturing allows us to optimize the use of the material, not generate waste (3D printing) and use biodegradable materials.

In this way, we combine design, craftsmanship, research and technology to offer creative and efficient solutions in all our projects, regardless of their size.
